KimiKimi

Headless online store built with Astro and WordPress for a brand specialised in Pokémon collectible cards.

Technologies used:

  • Astro
  • WordPress

We built the KimiKimi online store with a headless architecture, using Astro for the entire frontend and WordPress as the management panel for products, stock, orders, payments and blog content.

The project was conceived as a fast, visual and easy-to-browse store, with a much more refined experience than a traditional WordPress install. The visible layer was fully custom-built in Astro, enabling a cleaner design, better performance and smoother navigation.

For the client, day-to-day management is what matters. From the WordPress admin they can add or edit products and variations, update stock, review orders, manage coupons and payment methods, and publish blog posts without touching code. All of that data connects to Astro through APIs, keeping a familiar, simple panel while the public store is served with a custom frontend.

We also built a cart connected to the WordPress backend, real-time stock sync, secure checkout, order tracking on the site itself and a dynamic product search.

The goal was a modern, fast and scalable online store, with easy, intuitive management for the client and a fully customised visual experience for shoppers.
